P p p p pick up a friend . . .

I got a taxi to the airport and ran around like a headless chicken with the taxi driver in tow checking with every guard that miss young wasn't able to walk out of any other exit except the ddeparture gate I was at.

I looked my best for laura, wearing my illuminous 80s style low crotch pants with red t-shirt and wore my bells so she could hear me scurrying around! Plus of course, sporting the bruises, bites and two infected eyes.

I ran towards her as soon as I saw her tears pouring from my eyes, I was an emotional wreck!

We popped in the taxi and poor laura was shattered and didn't listen to a word the whole journey back to the hotel which is good while I prepped her for the worst of india with my stories and illnessess so india prob didn't seem so bad after an awful image was created.

We showered and went to the station to book tickets to mumbai for that night, 1500rs each, once on the train that night, well I've never travelled so posh, we had curtains for each buk and got served an endless supply of food.

After the tickets we got the auto to take us to the chinese embassy to sort our tickets, it turns out the embassy don't do it, its at a hotel so we grabbed the auto to there were coz we trekked our bags I waited outside while laura got in the queue writing letters explaining why we are in india getting visas and how we will leave china etc. Eventually we got sorted.

Headed to cognaught sq and went to a posh restaurant for posh tea and coffee, before getting on the train.

Its like a completey different travel experience, its been such a posh luxurious day. Obviously I won't keep this up, I wouldn't want to I love the local transport too much.

I think laura was shocked at how rude I am to every rickshaw driver etc who asks 'rickshaw rickshaw' and shouts random locations. She is so polite, just a matter of time before she changes her tune! Also she is shocked at how much I barter with people and get the price dropped, but I refuse to pay white price!xx
