Day of freedom . . .
I started the day writing my essay over breakfast nice and early, which immediately made me feel sick, must be the meds.
I achieved the task of sending a parcel home today which took about an hour and a half. Firstly they wrap, I had it sealed in plastic bags so they cover it in like a linen which they sew, then hand stitch it closed, followed by melting wax spots and stamping with a good luck impression on each dot, this cost 40rupees. Then the post office, I had to provide passport copies, and fill in a form twice then the guy gave me the price, obviously the quickest and most expensive one, so I got it down to the cheapest option saving me over a 1000rupees. So time will tell with this one.
I set up camp at the other peace place and ended up getting not much essay written as the biker guys came in and I was talking to a Tibetan guy and before you know it, it was 2. So I moved camp and had dinner while blasting my essay, leaving one question, so moved camp again back to peace as they do lovely milk teas and ended up chatting for hours to Kristina who is a writer. I am in her book, as she is in my blog.
I bumped into Darren for tea who has just got out of hospital today, I couldn't believe it, I felt so bad as he thought I had stood him up. He had reacted to the meds they gave him causing fits so he was in a bed caked in blood and s*** with a nurse trying to use a used needle and he had a family who were caring for one of their members in the bed next to him who fed and watered him otherwise he was pretty much screwed. So we are both on antibiotics, I'm so pleased I didn't go to the hospital.
So we chilled out at mine doing the arm balancing yoga moves and putting the world to right. xx
