Travelling Millers
Day 31. We went up with Kimberley Air over the Ord River, Argyle Dam and the Bungle Bungles and also took a look at the largest diamond mine in the world, Argyle Diamonds. The two hour flight was excellent. The views are amazing and the commentary knowledgeable and interesting. The Bungles certainly are unique. They really don't resemble anything we have seen so far, with their distinctive beehive shapes, brought about by a unique combination of location and wind. Their 'discovery' makes for an interesting story, as does the discovery of the diamonds. The gorges are lovely, as are the valleys sacred to the aboriginal people of the area. All this and home by 11.30!
Elle minded the van. No Red Dog moment in the air for her.
