Travelling Millers
Day 59. Headed through more 'outback' for Leinster. There were a few early heath wildflowers out on the way. We saw an emu (male) with 6 chicks! We drove through Sandstone on the way. Another old gold mining town with a couple of lovely old buildings. Leinster on the other hand is a new BHP town with nary an historic building in sight. It is very neat and tidy. However, it has, we were told back along the track, a mine mess which is open to the public for dinner. Good value apparently so we sloped down to check it out. And good value it definitely was. Catering by Spotless, who, RM assures me, caters to Parl. House. So for. $15.00 each, we ate like the pollies! We ate so much that BHP shares took a tumble today!
