Days 22 and 23. Not our usual days. RM has had a bad headache for a few days and other health issues. Stoic as ever, he soldiered on, having decided however to see a Dr in Kununurra. During the night at Timber Creek, he suffered another intense headache. We ploughed on to Kununurra and went straight to the hospital. He went to Casuality while I managed to arrange accommodation. Our original plan was to stay at Lake Argyle, which is 70ks from the town so not practical.
It did take all day but he got very good treatment at the hospital. However, with limited facilities, a final diagnosis was not possible without a CAT scan. While Imogen generously offered her cat Tom, we felt it better for RM to fly to Darwin and be treated in Darwin Hospital. He got away this afternoon. Will update with news as it comes to hand. Meanwhile, us girls are hanging out at the Hidden Valley Caravan Park, surrounded by mini Bungle Bungle ranges, the Hidden Valley NP, enjoying very warm temperatures and a lovely swimming pool. Will catch up on reading and walking. We also got out the bikes for the first time. The boab trees are delightful around here.
