Today I had my first ever - and quite probably last - literature exam which didn't include an essay. Felt like that was such an anomaly - it almost seems paradoxical - that it deserved a mention here. It was also the only lit exam where I've ever been required to compose a Spenserian stanza on a given subject, fulfilling all meter, rhyme and feet requirements. For those of you who aren't lit majors, don't worry, if you don't have a clue what a Spenserian stanza is, it's okay - you haven't been missing out on (too) much!
Tomorrow I've got my last two finals, one of which is entirely multi-choice - in fact that entire course, abnormal psyc, has been multi-choice assessed, with the option of participating in psyc experiments thrown in for extra credit. (Oh, how I love being a student!).
Friday will be our last ever flat brekkie (and actually maybe the first, due to our un-synchronised circadian rhythms... sorry, too much psyc!) - my flatmates have been amazing and have saved my life countless times (well, if it weren't for that extra-warm sleeping bag I might have frozen on the streets... and without that Korean citrus drink I might not have gotten over my sore throat... or I may have wasted away without Joy's generous supply of food...). And after that, I'll be madly packing, attempting to squeeze the last six months or so's worth of stuff back down to 20 k.g. and into my pack. Sat AM I'll be watching a friend walk across the stage for commencement (as they call graduation here - neat name, huh?). Sat PM I'll be back up to the beloved city of LA, and catching my flight very, very early Sun AM to Ecuador, where I hope to learn some Spanish, couchsurf, further experience the joys of developing-country transport, explore the Amazonian jungle and quench that thirst for hiking which Yosemite reawakened. Hopefully I can squeeze some beaching in there too.
