Having been starved of adventure for a little too long - like, a whole week or two! - and starved of the great outdoors for even longer, I decided it was about time I did something. So today four Americans, three Kiwis and a British guy jumped into a couple of cars with the intention of going hiking. I don't even know if you could call ours a hike, it may be better classified as a good walk, but we went out to Torrey Pines, a nearby nature reserve, and explored.
The scenery here is very different to New Zealand: lots of scrub and little bush or rainforest, and there were also these amazing sandy, deserty cliff-type things... If that doesn't help you picture it - and going by my lack of descriptive skills, it probably won't! - see my latest photo album, pics couresty of Esther as my camera is still dead.
And of course it was close to the coast so for most of the walk there were these amazing ocean views. Aah.
