Today I had not one, but two midterms. Right after the other too. And I don't mean with the usual hour's break in between either. I mean one was due to start about ten minutes after the other was due to finish. Phew!
Hope that makes all you Kiwis back home happy to be enjoying your summer holidays with a good few weeks left until you even have to begin thinking of study! Though if I'm honest with myself I know you're probably all working your butts off at whatever you're doing: some engineering / council / washing-people / cheese-factory kinda job - you know who you are. Comment me and let me know how it is. (Just don't make me too jealous that you don't have to do study!)
One thing that's different about exams here is that they don't announce when to start writing, you just start writing as soon as you receive your exam paper as they're handed down the row. But little ol' Kiwi me didn't know that... And it took me a while to work it out... D'oh!
And last of all, in this disjointed entry, here's a pic of the library where I'm sitting typing right now. Unsurprisingly, it played the role of an alien spaceship in Star Trek, so I'm told.
