One more week of classes (that means two days for me, no Mon/Wed/Fri classes - yuss!), one week of finals... and then I'll be gone. Can hardly believe how fast it has gone!
Gonna miss this place, the people, and the internationality (if that is a word!) of it. Any given week you get multiple cultural experiences, especially living in International House. Like last week, for example, teaching an American girl to speak with a Kiwi accent for her accents class, eating Singaporean food with people from all over, bible studying with Dutch and Korean girls, visiting what the pastor called an "all black" American church (there were totally some white people there too so I reckon "predominantly" would have been a better word to use than "all"), eating at the International Center with Japanese, Chinese and American girls, watching a Bollywood movie with an Indian and others, drinking Korean yu-ja tea cos I've got a sore throat, eating burritos and other Mexican-style food (yum!)... And there's been lots, lots more of that over the past few months!
But, in a couple weeks, I'll be leaving it all behind () to begin my South and Central American adventures, a (very brief!) Pacific leg of the journey, and then back to Aotearoa by mid-July. Looking forward to seeing all you Kiwis then!
