Today we went to Union Square to check out the shops! It's only a 5 minute walk away to all the big shops like Macy's, Saks & Bloomingdales. It's pretty nice around this area as the shops are set around a big square with cafes, grassy area and a place for artists to display their work.
We went into Macy's, Niketown, Levis store, I bought some jeans and flip flops in Old Navy which is a bit like Gap. We went into a shopping centre for lunch - there is a huge food court with every type of cuisine from around the world so we had trouble making a choice! In the end we went to the place with the longest queue as we guessed that was a good sign! It was a thai food place and we had stir-fried mixed veg and a beef curry with rice - so yummy! It only cost around £6 including a Sprite drink and it filled us both up. The great thing about America is you can get empty boxes to take home your leftovers but we haven't had any yet!
Then we went into a swanky deli/supermarket and bought some fruit (we are trying to eat healthy!) and saw some PG Tips cost £4 for 80 teabags! Lucky we brought our own!
