I am not in the mood to write, but I'm so far behind and so busy at work, that when I have a minute to spare the voices in my head are saying: JUST DO IT!So, Marcos and I arrived in Brighton nice and early and started off just walking around the little town. We went down to the cobble stone beach and walked on the pier (there was this dude passed out on the beach, who obviously had a big night, and Marcos kept on saying to me "go poke him with a stick". It was really funny - well ok, you had to be there). So from the famous Brighton Pier we went to ...*drum roll*... THE AQUARIUM! I was in my element!! I never realised sea life was so ... shockingly beautiful and mesmerizing!! Have you EVER seen a sea-horse? I mean a real - life - sea-horse?!? They are so fascinating and beautiful and you just wanna pick them up and hold them safe and close to your heart! They look so fragile and precious and and and ... words cannot actually explain to you how I felt when I saw them! I was amazed. We also saw two sea turtles mating, and we touched sting-rays... (they were un-sting-rayed. If ya know what I mean...). Then I found out there were ... *dimming the lights and dramatic music starts playing* ... SHARKS! Just typing the word makes me cringe. I've got Selachophobia (Fear of sharks). (I looked up the word just now and I was trying to explain to my colleague that even the shark in Nemo gives me the creeps, so I Googled a picture and I actually had to leave my desk and get someone to close the screen). Ok, back to Brighton Aquarium. So Marcos had to go and see if the "coast was clear" and luckily they were little sharks. We were in time to watch the sharks and Tina Turtle being fed. Tina is a massive, 55 year old sea turtle (they feed her broccoli! Urgh! If I was Tina I'd go on a hunger strike!). So after oo-ing and aa-ing over the amazing lobsters and spidercrabs (HOLY MOLY HAVE YOU SEEN THE SIZE OF THOSE CRABS?!! They can grow to like 1.5 metres!!! And I thought all those alien movies were just fictional...) we went to the beach and had some lunch (Marcos made some fabulous home-made chicken!). Then we were off to the theatre cause we got tickets for ... Dancing Queen (Dianne, I make you proud!). So after perving all the cute dancers and singing along to the cheesy songs, we headed back to London after a very long, exciting, exhausting and happy day!!
