Ever wondered what it must be like in a whirlwind? My life is always like a whirlwind:
.... racing to the airport.... arriving in JHB... going from Henley-on-Klip, to Midrand, to Alberton to Hartebeespoort.... being sweaty from the hot weather... going to the spa.... going clubbing... coffees... lunches... dinners... friends, family... going to the midlands.... one minute i'm riding horse in lucious green mountains, the next i'm sitting in traffic on the way to the airport... arriving back in London, coming out of the tube station and being greeted with grey moody skies, big tall buildings... going straight to my first day at my new job... getting dressed and then..... WHAM!! i find myself in a boardroom ....looking like i've just stepped out of a corporate fashion magazine... being greeted by the Managing Partner of one of the biggest lawfirms in London... then having to sit through 4 presentations .... stuffing my face with M&M cookies and downing about 6 cups of strong coffee.... and then... I blink.
Oh right.
I'm back in London.
At my new job.
And i'm still alive (and half-kicking).
So, here I am sitting in an internet cafe with my life just FLYING BY and i'm thinking "why did i come back here?"... and then in the same breath thinking "what is there for me back home?"..... So seeing all my friends and family, noticing that nothing has changed, everybody looks the same, acts the same, has the same mindset and goals.... it made me realise that there is so much for me to do and achieve and so little time!!!! So like things stand right now, my contract is expiring at the end of July and then? Who knows.... its a mystery...
... but i'll keep you posted!
I just want to say thank you to everybody who really made an effort to see me! To Michelle who let me stay at her place nearly every night and putting up with all my stresses and tears and smiles.... to Elsa who specially took a day's leave to spend with me: you're a friend and a half!!! To those who made the effort to drive miles to see me.... To phillip who let me invite my friends to his house... To Jason who spent an entire day drying my eyes when i was sad when my gran died.... To Sally who spent a whole day entertaining me and who took me horse-riding.... To my mom and sister putting up with my moods and still having nice breakfasts together... to my dad always being there for me and helping me out....
I guess this is getting long and soppy, so hope you're all well. I'll write soon!!!
All my love,
xxxx
ps: i thought to send you a picture of me, but of the 109 photos that i've taken, i dont think i look good in ONE. So here's one of me and my mom's new dog, Bonny. Isn't she GORGE?!?!?!?
