"I-wish-I-was-still-wearing-my-pyjamas" is a perfectly normal motto on a blue Monday afternoon. It's a mystery why I'm so non compos mentis today seeing that I didn't do much last weekend. Spending your Friday evening on the couch with a tub of Ben & Jerry's Vanilla Toffee Crunch ice cream isn't that tiring, is it? And you would think that for the fact that I was still in my pyjamas at 16:00 Saturday afternoon I'm supposedly nice and rested?!
I met Barend on Saturday night for a glass of wine and it was fun reminiscing about our childhood and things we got up to. (I'm still trying to remember the boy's name I carved on the tree on our neighbour's farm. But its a mystery. I have a very selective memory). Why cant we just all stay young forever instead of growing up and getting credit cards?
On Sunday I met up with my uncle and his wife and spent nearly the entire day with them. They were attending a service at St Paul's Cathedral and I attended for the first 15 mins and then left (I was late so sat right at the back and it was very distracting with all the tourists that came in. They really should close it during the service!!). We went to the Tower of London and while they did the tour, I met up with Marcos and Pete for a quick drink (the tour takes about 3 hours). After the Tower of London (and ditching Marcos and Pete) we walked over the beautiful Tower Bridge and then made our way to Covent Garden. It was so awesome seeing my uncle and getting to know his wife (she's really cool!!!). Only headed home at about 19:00 and then met Marcos for a "quick cup of coffee" which turned into a few glasses of wine and some good laughs. (There's this new pub/restaurant/place that opened about 4 blocks from my house and they had the most awesome live music!!).
Ok, its not Monday anymore. I kinda got lazy to finish the mail *sheepish expression*. Today is Wednesday and we all know what that means! *Giving Michelle the evil eye *... it means I go to Shapla school and read with Salma (remember?!). Today was especially nice cause we decided to sit outside (in the friggin freezing cold and drizzling rain, but her being British and all... its summer. Isn't it?!). So as we sat down about 6 girls came running and joined our table and started oo-ing and aa-ing about who I am and " you're so pretty" and "you smell so nice " (Ha! What an ego boost!). So after enduring the girls fighting over who was gonna play with my hair (and pulling half of it out in the process)... I nearly fell asleep cause I LOVE it when someone plays with my hair. Heidi I hope you're training Alisha in the hair-play department (and Zander for that matter.). (I was a bit annoyed when I arrived back at the office and noticed that they played the curl out of my hair tho! *Sigh* Don't you just hate straight hair! It took me FOREVER to get them curly!!!). I'm really gonna miss Salma tho :-(
This is just another nonsense mail to tell you that I'm still alive and happy. Had an awesome weekend and the next one is promising to be even better (boat party: YAY). Oh, and I still need to write about Day 2 of Liverpool - I keep on forgetting to bring the pamphlet to work with all the facts about the Cathedral. Facts are crucial. Will send that soon!
Last thoughts: Lene, why Bloemfontein?!?!? My dad: *kisses to the arm*. My mom: *kisses to the shoulder*. Julian , thanks for the mail: you're a babe! Deon. *sigh* what shall I say. Er. No, you aint getting one! Phillip, take that smile off your face, I was just joking about the streaking. Promise! Brent still waiting for your call *giving you the look*. Dianne :-( Sorry to hear, I'll call you soon so we can have a bit of a chat! KnD looking 4ward 2 ur next update!!!!! Dave, I'm still sobbing uncontrollably. YOU KNOW WHY. Justin, how you doin'? (said in a very Joey way).
