Krystal's Travels
Man, traveling sure wears me out. I've been so tired since we got back on Sunday. My brain and body have been on a no-going-out week. I might still go out tonight but I haven't heard from Kali yet. It's cold and wet outside though so I might stay in.
Beth and I are going to Frankfurt this weekend. We're going to pick Erin up on Monday and decided it would be fun to go see the city for a few days. It was either that or let Erin figure out the trains on her own. I'm sure she could have done it but I know she's appreciative we'll be there. I'm not totally sure what we're going to do but I think Dresden is on the list. I think she would enjoy that. Next week is going to be so crazy with the world cup starting. I'm a little worried but I think it should be okay. I've noticed Germany's been getting a lot of headlines lately. I read today about hate crimes in eastern Germany, where I am, and threats against several ethnic groups. Luckily, I'm not part of any of them so mom don't worry about me. There was also an article online about English football "hooligans" getting their passports revoked so they can't cause trouble at the games. Crazy stuff. I thought American fans could get crazy about american football but now I know better.
Classes are going well. I accidentally overslept and missed my music history class yesterday though. I had gotten up and was basically ready to go. I had about 30 minutes extra time so I decided to go back to sleep for a few minutes. Well, apparently I didn't set my alarm right and the 20 minutes turned into 60. Oops. I wasn't too happy with myself because I really like that class, even though sometimes I feel pretty lost and I still haven't quite figured out what I need to be looking for in the library. Well, I know what I need, I just can't find it. I've also started researching for my capstone paper. I found a bunch of sources last week. I'm still working on reading the Ring cycle though so I don't want to get too much into the research until that's done with. I'm getting ready to start the 3rd opera of the series. I didn't realize when I decided to research this topic that there was so much information! It's kind of exciting.
Well that's all for now. Tschüß!
