Krystal's Travels
Today after our class we went to the Leipziger Buchmesse. It's one of the biggest book fairs in Europe, second to Frankfurt. Most people seem to like the one here better though because it's more for the public whereas the one in Frankfurt is more for business. It was pretty neat...lots of people. I almost bought Harry Potter in German but I decided against it.
Last night I went with some friends to a bar for a little while. We had a lot of fun getting to know each other. Everybody's really nice. Tonight I might go with some of the other American students and the English students to an Irish pub to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Not sure if that's going to happen yet or not though. We haven't made plans.
Tomorrow we're taking a tour of the city so I'll probably have a lot of pictures to post. It's been really cold and wet so it hasn't really been optimal picture taking weather. Hopefully it will get nicer.
For my class I have to do a project and I found out yesterday that I could do it on Bach's steps in Leipzig. Basically it will involve going to places devoted to Bach and places that he frequented and taking pictures. Perfect for me. My friend Kali is going to work with me. Should be cool.
More later. Bis Dann!
