Well I was supposed to go to Weimar and Buchenwald today but I missed the bus. I guess it was a good thing though cause I was already sick. I ended up sleeping pretty much all day today. I'm really disappointed that I had to miss the trip though. How did get get sick you ask? I went on this bar tour with the rest of the class Thursday night. I thought that maybe we would be going to bars in the same neighborhood but they ended up being a little farther apart. It was sooo cold outside and I'd already been exposed to other people with colds so it didn't take much. Several people have been getting sick, especially people that aren't used to the cold weather. On Wednesday after class we went to a museum. It was pretty interesting for the most part but a little too long. We had a tour guide so we didn't really get to do much looking on our own. Wednesday night I went with Kali, Beth, John and Chris to the Moritzbastei to watch the US get beaten by Germany in the soccer game. We had fun just hanging out and getting to know the English guys. Thursday we had a tour of the University Library. It's pretty nice. Very big. I don't think we saw a lot of it. Most of the schools in the university have their own libraries too. Luckily for me it's right next to the DaF (Deutsch als Fremdsprache -- German as a foreign language) building. I still need to figure out what classes to take. There's really no registering for classes like we do in the states. You just go to class on the first day and if there's an empty seat, you sit in it and you're in the class. That makes me a little nervous but oh well. Tomorrow, Kali, Beth, Christina, and I are going to work on our project. Nothing will probably be open but we can at least take some pictures or something. Tonight is early to bed for me though. Must get better!
