Krystal's Travels
Today I went with WILMA to Quedlinburg, a small town in Saxony-Anhalt. The town dates back to the 9th century and is on UNESCO's list of world heritage sites. It was pretty neat. The only bad thing was that the weather was horrible, so we didn't want to be outside much. The majority of the buildings were Fachwerkhaeuser (half-timbered houses) like the ones in the picture.
We also went to the Schlossberg Castle. There were several models of the castle over the ages that showed the buildings as they were added. I think there are a total of 6 architectural styles from different eras. Sorry I don't have explanations on the pictures yet...those will come later. It's getting late and I have to get up early again cause Beth and I are going to Dresden!
