Most Excellent Week Dudes !!
Rich graduated from the Academy, a nice simple affair in the HQ chapel with the Deputy Commissioner. He was also nominated by his class mates as the most outstanding constable and was awarded with a commemerative plaque engraved with
'' Richard John MALLETT PD13114 recognised by your peers as the most 'outstanding course contributor' during your training at the WA Police Academy - Deat 17/2007''
and he also had a mini mag lite in a leather pouch also engraved with his regimental number name and course. This was all presented by the Deputy Commissioner. He was also officially promoted to 1st Class Constable the same morning.
we left the Academy about 11am loaded a trailer with everything that i had packed over the last week and by 3pm had moved house again ! but this time it was well worth the work.
We are really pleased with the house, is 3 mins stroll from front door to high tide line on the beech and a view of the Indian Ocean from the master bedroom and parents retreat means we spend most nights there watching the sun set. -
Now we are living the dream.......
not a spider, scorpian, preyingmantis, rat, mental patient or crazy Abo to be seen !!!!well there are a few red back spiders outside but strangly you do get used to them very quickly and learn that if you leave them alone they will leave you alone.
So new fridge and sofa is in, Richs friend from the academy packed us off with 3 of everything and a kettle, iron pots and pans etc until our stuff arrives. it arrived end of Jan, currently in customs and should be clear from there in a week or so.
One last bonus this week - Rich doesnt start work till Thursday !!!!
