So the question is how do you know when it is really winter ? and the answer is when your husband finds you in bed wearing a thick jumper and a wooly hat ! Nice, but it does get cold at night, not quite minus figures but 1 or 2 degrees and cold enough for Richard to wear thermal pants ! (what a picture ) By day we are still between 15 - 20 degrees but the night sky is crystal clear with nothing to hold in the days heat and so, much like a dessert, any heat from the day is lost quite quickly from the sandy surface.

It doesnt help that the house was built with no heating, but in December in 40 degree temperatures who would have thought about heating !!!

Have been assure that it doesnt last for too long.
