Rich started work this week - day shifts thurs to sunday with a 0600 hrs start !! finish at 1600 hrs though which is good. Shifts here appear pretty good, you work 4 days in a week with Rich being able to choose which 3 days he has off, 1 week is days, 1 week is lates and the 3rd week is nights, all incur a shift allowance ranging from $20 for a day shift to $50 per night shift, not bad when it is an addition to his salary !!

so from Richo's (Richo is the new nickname - better than Timmy we think !) perception of his first 4 days '' very relaxed in approach though more proffesional with better state of the art equipment, 90 % guilty plea's prior to attending court and a lot less of the lower level crime than england has. There appears to be a mix of higher degree of respect for the police twinned with a slight fear of their presence, this doesnt always follow in some mining towns where cop bashing is the local sport !! ''

Rich has gone off to Joondalup this week for a week and a half - supervisor course !! - another promotion - how many does he need in 1 month !! still he seems to be enjoying this study lark, you would never beleive he hated school !

Finn and I have opted for a healthier mode of transport a bike and a child carrier which is like a small caravan behind the bike in the style of a trailor - well it certainly feels that way up hills !! Lord Finn of Boardwalk Boulevard loves it he sits there with his shade on listening to an mp3 player whilst i do all the hard work. was beautiful the other day when we decidied to do the coastal cycle path - which happens to start at our front door ! saw a dolphin dancing the waves not far of the coast - made the cycle ride so much more beautiful if that were possible out here, it seemed to follow us down the coast !

ah yes - 14 years of safe driving in the Uk - you would think that would follow out here - especially as they drive on the same side - uh oh i got a speeding ticket $150 and 2 x demerit points on my nice clean new aussie license ! oh b***** was doing 71kmh in a 60 - must be the Merc's odometer, not reading correctly !!!!
