Things are slowly winding down now for Christmas. Playgroup has finished with a Christmas party on there last day, food, face paignting and a bouncy castle etc etc . Last swimming this week and another certificate gained. Of course I dragged Mum along to all of these events. !!

Mum and Dad took Finn over to Adelaide to see my Godmother and her husband. The flight took about 3.5 hours they tell me that Finn was good, he went off with his backpack PJ's and a couple of toys, the air hostesses on the flight even painted his face for him, I beleive they had a good few days - went to Adelaide zoo and a wildlife park. We had a great few days it allowed us to have a few precious days with Fraser. We bought a crab pot to catch fresh crab off the canal wall now that it is coming into the season, is so easy and it is free. they are blue manna swimming crabs, and taste pretty good.

Richard s work hold a Wood Duck Award, which is actually a wooden duck with engravings around the bottom. It is awarded to the officer on that shift that has had the biggest balls up or funniest mishap in that year. we went to his sct xmas party one evening where this was to be presented, (child free non the less, roped in the grandparents to do some babysitting !!)had a barbie for our food. then came the nominations for the wood duck. there were some very funny mishaps that had happened to one or another, then Rich was nominated as he was one evening cleaning out the back of the van where the prisoners are placed and thought there were a few leaves that could be just picked up. Upon picking one up it became quickly apparent that this was not a leaf at all but someones p** ahhhhhhhhhhhh this of course had been nominated and voted prior to the party as being the winner - I still cant beleive he picked up a human poo... Rich was awarded the wood duck with his name engraved on the base.... dear oh dear.
