Very cold this morning, only 9C in the cabin and frost and fog all around outside. With heating on full it is soon OK to crawl out of bed.
We have a leisurely morning waiting for the fog to lift before setting off at 11:30 taking a quick trip to E.Leclerc for some milk. While Ail is in the shop a Dutch couple carry an empty bottle to the shack beside which Nick has parked. Coins ratttle, there is synthetic moo-ing and they depart with a bottle full of milk. Electronic cow! Might savehours in supermarket carparks in future.
A steady, hazy journey round Angouleme brings us to Montmoreau St Cybard where we stop for lunch then it is cross country through woods and past lakes, still enjoying the colourful display mother nature has painted this year, until we reach the Passion at St Meard-de-Gurcon.
As we make our way up the drive the owner scramples down from the rooftop to meet us. Ali goes in and buys a bottle of wine and some melon jam then we settle in to watch a magnificent sunset.
After dark we find some wifi and download the latest MMM magazine which has our article about last year's trip to Prague, Vienna and Budapest published in it.
