What a peaceful place this is at Tinteniac, so much so we lie in 'til nearly 09:00.
The morning sun lights the Rance canal very differently from last night. Paddy pops over to say goodbye, we use the service point and head off ourselves.
It's a much fresher 23-26C as we drive 14 miles cross country to join the dual carriageway for a bit over an hour. Another 5 miles and we are at Ferme Gesbert, an odd stop as it is in the Passion guide and the Camperstop book. We receive a warm welcome from Jocelyn Gesbert who explains in simple French; parking free, if we want electricity it's €2. After parking between fields of maize and sunflowers Ali goes to buy some cider but there is none in stock so we have pate instead.
On the way back Ali iis a bit unsettled passing a shed full of ducks which have 'ceased to be'. A short while later we hear machinery and then during a mid afternoon walk there are feathers floating around and settling on the ground.
Still, the pate will be tasty no doubt.
After the heat of the last week we enjoy the cooler afternoon doing little but readng and using the free wifi.
The fridge also appears to prefer the cooler days and is back working on all three energy supplies, so we enjoy prawns and some chilled muscadet for supper. As we are eating a French MoHo comes in for the night.
As the sun drops a new phenomenon presents itself; condensation on the windows.
Definitely cooler then.
p.s. shelled prawns are known as decortiquees. Not sure about a plucked duck....
