Where do I start!?
Well, I woke up Monday morning at 4:30 and left right on time at 5:30. The airport was pretty painless with checking my bag and going through security. We waited for a little bit then started to board the plane. With my luck, a ton of people had gotten on the plane before us and the only over head compartments open were in the middle. I have a monster for a carry on and no way was that going to fit. So I ask a guy if he can switch and put his stuff in the middle ones, he has no problem with it....my bag still won't fit. So Carson, Lynette, and I are about to call it quits when we see that first class still has some room. So we all manage to fit ours in there and call it a a day. But of course we had already made a scene. Awesome. The flight went pretty well and I slept for about 4 of the 8 hours on there.
Then the waiting begins. Normally I would have just knocked out and not worry about a thing. Well, my body thought that I had just taken a nap and that it was roughly 5 pm...no, it was 11. Cool right? Well I didn't sleep a wink in the 6 hours we were waiting for our bus to arrive. However, we did make some pretty cool friends!! They were sure to point out they recognized me from the plane because I had the big carry on...awesome.
Eventually we got picked up at terminal 3 and then had to get the other group at terminal...mind you it is about 6:30 in the morning. All I want is sleep. Around 9 we have gotten the group and we are on the bus (or coach as they call it) to Cheltenham! After getting my ID and weekly stipend, I fall asleep for 2 hours. We're then showed to our rooms. Kels is just down the hall from me and we met the other 3 that live on our floor. I think they are a little unsure about us so far, but I swear Kels and I have been normal...not our normal but normal person normal.
So I made my bed and unpacked and then we had to meet up outside and walk to the flat where all the others live. It was probably a good 15 minute walk. All the Manchester people got our own cell phones because we're kind of far off from everyone else. We all ate lunch together and the others got their cell phones. We met this awesome British girl named Lydia and she can fake such a good American accent. She led us around the local shops. There's pretty much something of everything. We got a little bit of food but not too much yet! Tomorrow is going to be an extremely busy day but I'm waiting to go to sleep so I don't wake up too early and then have nothing to do.
