Well, well, well. I started off my day rather early on a tiny bit of sleep. I woke up at 5:15, and what was the worst part was people at home had probably not even gone to bed yet, craziness! Oh and my flatmates hadn't either. The best way to start off the earliness is to walk 45 minutes to Park Campus for the bus to Liverpool!! We stood around for awhile but then eventually got on the bus. It was a double decker, no not the red ones, but we got stuck on the bottom but we got the cool looking four seaters, I rode backwards but I slept for a majority of the 2 and a half hour ride, so no big deal! We got there probably 10:30 or so because we left later than planned. We had the morning to ourselves to do what we wished. So we walked around, went shopping, and then found something to eat. We chose this sketchy, sorry, dodgy as they say here, place but it might have been the best burger I have eaten. Ever. Kels, Lyn, and Louise took pictures by the statue of John and the surrounding area. We were going to go into The Cavern where the Beatles first played but we didn't have time because we had to meet back to get into the Beatles Museum! We got some pretty awesome pictures and it was interesting! There were quotes everywhere at the end, and you know how I love quotes! I bought a few things and didn't spend too much money! I can't really complain! We had a little bit of time left before we had to meet everyone back up so Kels and I went into this little shop and yes, spent more money. But hey, money is made to be spent right!? Exactly! Really though, we didn't spend that much! We walked a bit more and took some pictures as the sun was setting. Liverpool is actually beautiful. I will say they have the thickest accent I have heard so far. The man that worked at where we got food was so hard to understand. I felt like it was my first day in England! When we got on the coach to come back, we took the top and the back 5 seats.
I will say I love it here. Friday night we went to regency for this little party and everyone is so amazingly nice and welcoming. People are excited to talk to the Americans and hear what life is like there. I have not met one person who is rude. I'm not sure if it's the area or what, but everyone is so happy to have us here. When we went to leave, we realized our stuff was locked in Erika's room. We called security but they took probably about an hour and a half, but I honestly didn't mind. Not only was I blessed to meet the nicest British people here, but also wonderful Americans through BCA. It's crazy to think that there is a huge amount of people I wouldn't know if it weren't for this great opportunity and I couldn't be more thankful!
So far there are no plans for tomorrow but catching up on homework! I'm sure it'll be a great day as well!
