Life in Oz!
The day is finally here. I can take my Community Work exam and be done with finals! Joanna and I met at 8:30 to make sure we made it over to the Innovation Centre by 9am. We could sit wherever we wanted this time but otherwise everything was pretty much the same as the last exam. There were two parts to the exam with 9 questions each but we could pick two from each part and write 300-500 word answers. I think I was one of the first ones at 10:15 and it felt great to be done! I sat around outside for a while waiting for everyone else to finish so I could say goodbye to Charlene, Kate and Jaime and talk to Whitney. We stood outside talking for a bit and after we said our goodbyes, Joanna and I headed to the library to print my flight itineraries and return our print cards. After the library we stopped by International Relations so I could find out when I will be picked up for the airport. Since I don't need to be there until 7:45 I figured I would be leaving about 6am or so. No quite...4AM!! Not fair but I guess that's what I get for turning in my transfer request form late. I had good intentions of starting to pack when I got back from my exam but I talked to Matilda and her and Bettina are going to the beach for a few hours so I decided to do that instead. We got off the bus by Alex and walked along the Esplanade to Mooloolaba. After getting a drink at the juice bar, we went down to the beach and talked. It was nice out but it's sad that the water is too cold to go swimming in. I called Richard before I left and he said he would probably meet us down at the beach but we never saw him. We didn't stay very long because it gets really chilly in the later arvo and I needed to get back to pack anyway. I wasn't back long before Joanna called me and invited me to go with her, Kate and Kate's mom, dad and younger brother and sister to Sizzler. We left at 5pm and Kate and I managed to give her dad the right directions most of the time that it didn't take to long to get there. The food was just as good as last time. We took the long way back and ended up going through Buderim, it took a while but we made it back. Kate's family left for the night after they dropped us off so we went back to get ready and then hung out at Kate's place until we left for the Tav. I said goodbye to Alissa, my new roommate, because they are leaving for Fraser tomorrow morning and won't be back until Tuesday after I am gone. The Tavern was pretty full and fun but it was sad because not many UniCentral people were there, mainly because heaps of people are gone. We stayed until they kicked us out at 2 and I went back to Matilda's apartment after for a while. I left about 3am so I could get to bed because I have a lot of packing to do tomorrow.
