I spent most of my day finishing up my walking sites booklet. I wasn't very motivated to do it so it took me heaps longer to do it then it should have taken. Before heading to the library to print my booklet I stopped by Brendan's apartment to finally return his bag that I borrowed to pack for Sydney in. It took me forever to get my booklet printed in the library. I printed a few pages in black and white but the majority of it I wanted in colour and I was having problems getting the colour printer to process and print all of the pages. After it was all said and done and I spent way too much time trying to get everything to print and too much money on the coloured pages as well. Once I got it turned in and back to my apartment it was time to start getting ready for the cocktail party the Uni was sponsoring for the international students. I met Matilda, Bettina and Katherine and we walked to uni together. There was heaps of finger food and we got two free drinks. Cocktail party was a little bit misleading though because we had our choice of either beer or wine to drink. There was a decent amount of people there but not as many as I had hoped. It was heaps of fun to see everyone and I got heaps of pictures with most of my friends. They had a DJ there but no one really danced, we were all too busy talking and enjoying the free food and drinks. The party was from 6-8pm and Matilda and I wanted to go out afterwards. Most of the Europeans did as well. Joanna and Kate were going to go to a movie but they changed their minds and came with us instead. It was an interesting mix of mates I was with but it was heaps of fun. Joanna, her roommate Gemma, Kate, Matilda, her friend Jarred (from NDSU), Norbert, his friend Andy and I all took the bus together to Mooloolaba. For some reason he wasn't stopping in Mooloolaba so we had to get off at Alex and walk, which is only about 5 minutes anyway. Our first stop was the Zink Bar where most of the Europeans were hanging out. We stayed there for a while and then moved on to Friday's. There was a guy singing and playing guitar downstairs so we all sat down there listening to him for a while and then Gemma, Joanna and Kate decided to go upstairs where the club is. Matilda wanted me to stay downstairs with her and Jarred so I did. Norbert, Martin and Andy eventually disappeared, not sure where they went. The guy downstairs was alright, he wasn't the best ever but it was still fun to sit around and talk and dance occasionally. He quit playing about 2am so the three of us decided to take a taxi back since we were pretty tired and figured the girls would be upstairs for a while yet anyway.
