Next stop on our route was Napier, about one and a half hours drive form Taupo. The journey passed really quickly as we were still on a high from the sky dive. Napier is a really nice town on the east coast of the north island. The main attraction of the town is the art deco architecture, which can be seen just walking around the centre of the town. We spent two relaxing days here walking round the town and lucky for us it was boiling so Lynz got to do some sunbathing on the campsite while we had a picnic. The campsite was a bit more basic than others but still clean with plenty of facilities. The campsites in New Zealand are much better than we expected, its not really roughing it at all!
