Well from the ice to the warmth we made our way to the next destination, Wanaka. This was one of our longest journeys yet at around 4 hours, although it probably would have been alot quicker if we didn't stop to take so many pictures of the scenery. It was one of our most scenic drives, its hard to describe how beautiful New Zealand is but I think our photos go some way to show. We spent a couple of days in Wanaka which is a really pretty town set between the southern alps. It was boiling for the two days, around 30 degrees we were told. We spent a fun afternoon at Puzzling World, a must see in Wanaka. After a play around in the illusion rooms we headed to the great maze, which was exactly what it sounds like. After what felt like a lifetime (but was just an hour), we had to give up and accept defeat and take the emergency exit, we blame the heat. We rounded off our two days with a few drinks by the lake. We read that Shania Twain lives in Wanaka (so next holiday dad, don't go to Tenerife, come to Wanaka!!) and when I gave her a photo of Mally G, she just said..."That don't impress me much" so sorry dad!! On to Queenstown...
