Well we are into our last week in New Zealand and it seems that the further south we go, the hotter its getting, well apart from when we took a visit to a bar that was below freezing point!! Queenstown is New Zealands adventure capital but as we've been there done that got the t-shirt (Literally) we just chilled out for our time here. The town was named Queenstown as it was fit for Queen Victoria and we know what they mean. On the journey from Wanaka we vistied Arrowtown, which is about 25 minutes away from Queenstown and is a old fashioned gold mining town, full of OAPs but a must see if your heading to Queenstown. We spent most of our time here around the lake which is the focal point of the town and has all its bars and restaurants around it. Last night we went for a night out, but with a difference! You know how you can stand in a nightclub sweating after a dance, well this was the opposite. We had ourselves some cocktails in the Minus 5 bar, which is exactly what it sounds like. Infact it was -6.6c and our glasses were even made of ice. Needless to say the bar supplied big parka jackets, gloves and even some snow boots for Lynz! It was an amazing experience and we thought it was the best thing for us to do in Queenstown as everybody does all the adrenaline pumping activities, so we thought we'd go against the grain. Today we are going to spend our last day shopping for a few souvenirs then having a picnic by the lake in the blazing sun!
