We set off from Queenstown with a new car, due to a little stupidity on our part. The new car we have got is a Nissan Pulsar and is an automatic, which was very strange at first. A good four hour journey to Dunedin soon got Lee used to the new gear stick and no clutch! Infact once you get used to it, the automatic car is easier to drive than a manual as you can just cruise and not touch the gear stick for hours!! Dunedin is the Gaelic translation of Edinburgh so as you can imagine theres alot of Scottish blood here. Although it shares the same street names as Edinburgh its not really as nice, but still a pretty cool place. The main attraction here is probably the Cadbury's World Chocolate Factory, not like Willy Wonka's but Lynz got excited and has been dreaming of this day ever since we arrived in New Zealand! Lee gave the tour a miss and thought he'd just leave all the freebies for Lynz! The tour took you round the factory and because it was the weekend some of the machinery was shut down which meant more free chocolate, much to Lynz's delight!! She even got to see a chocolate waterfall, pretty much heaven for her. The tour finished in the retail outlet where Lynz was literally like a kid in a sweet shop! We took a walk up Baldwin Street, which is in the Guinness Book of Records for the steepest street in the world at 19 degrees, hard work but at least we got a certificate to prove it at the gift shop at the bottom!! For the rest of our time here we are going to have a look round the town and get a few beers for our Saturday night in.
