I woke up this morning to becky shouting 'Debra! It's quarter to 8'! I was so exhausted I would have happily missed the boat back home and swam there myself later. I packed my bag and we headed for breakfast at the beach bar. We were feeling slightly rough after our beach bonfire night so we only managed an egg each. We then headed onto the boat and were not loving the feeling of the rocking. We were with the same group of guys we were with last night which was cool so we all headed up to the top deck and lay down and sunbathed. Robbie was looking slightly worse for wear, and his sun burn was glowing. I told him its always easy to spot a fellow Irish abroad! Most of the guys had just come back from Thailand and Cambodia and Laos so they were advising us on where to go.
We then had to transfer onto another boat where we were given lunch. I think I was spoiled on my boat because the lunch on this boat was grim! My barbecued shrimp looked more like cremated shrimp. After two hours on the boat we were back at the docks in halong bay were we then transferred to a bus. I listened to music for the majority of the 4 hours. Near the end of the journey the tour guide started chatting to us all and being rather hilarious. He said he was glad we were young and fun because usually the people he is I'm charge of are old and boring haha. He also told us he could read palms. He demonstrated on a guy called Tom. Apparently Tom is going to have 1 kid, be poor Untill 40 and then make it rich, but sadly at 50 he has a heart attack. Amazing skills. I was told I was born the year of the monkey and not to marry a man born in 1986 because they are 'bad match for me' haha.
After wang king (lol) stopped talking nonsense, we arrived back in Hanoi to some sunshine! Becky and I got more cash and then we checked back into our hostel, same room as last time! Yes! Back with Anita, Aiden and the gang. I caught up with Aiden and chatted about plans for our last night in Hanoi on Wednesday! Looks like it'll be a good send off and get everyone in the hostel out. Becky and I then headed for some food. We got back to the hostel and chatted to new backpackers! We then headed up to the room as we were exhausted from the weekend. Everyone in the room headed out but we stayed in and read and caught up with family, I Didnt tell poor dad I was going away for the weekend and I'm sure he was wondering what on earth was going on!
I woke up at 4am to the sound of the door opening and Aiden stumbling in. I had a lovely conversation which consisted of drunk Aiden telling me he's really glad he met me and I'm a great girl. I laughed and told him to shut up and go to bed haha.
