This morning we woke up at 7 for our tour, super exciting! We packed our bags and left them with our tour guides John and dr fu. He insisted we eat breakfast so we headed around the corner and had another omelette each. 8.30 arrived and all our stuff was loaded off on the motorbikes and ready to go! We hit the road and immediately I was loving it. Cruising down the highway on a motorbike is a really cool feeling. Some bits I was slightly nervous at, especially when dr fu would overtake lorries to catch up with Becky and John! They were amazing drivers however so I felt safe. They guys firstly took us to a little fishing village where we watched the locals fish in the river. The sun in the background was pretty amazing so I got some shots on my proper camera. Back on the backs and an hour down the road we arrived a Buddhist temple. It was pretty amazing looking and dr fu took a couple of pictures of Becky and I on my camera .
The next stop was incredible. They guys took us up to the mountains off the beaten track. We headed through the forest and then arrived at a waterfall and a lake, it was like something out of a movie. We got our swimming gear on and jumped in! We swam over under the waterfall which was crystal clear. John showed us a ledge high up that we could jump off into the lake. It looked like a fairly decent height, until you got up there!! I was absolutely crapping myself. I was standing on the edge for about ten minutes, whilst John had the camera at the bottom of the lake. He actually said to me that tourist do it all the time and to hurry up and jump. I finally took a leap and plummeted down into the sparkly water, and it was awesome! Definite thrill seeker! Becky was next and she took half the time I did to jump! Good girl!
Back on the bikes and we drove for another 45 minutes to get some lunch. We asked for cheap local food as the tour had cost us 45 dollars which is a couple of days budget. We ended up with an amazing seafood soup filled with noodles and crap and shrimp. Only 80p! Dr fu and John were great tour guides and made sure we were full and insisted we drank loads of water so we Didnt get dehydrated. Back on the road and now we were headed for the final stretch to hoi'an; beach paradise! It was a great ride mostly doing a speed of 85 mph down the highway. The hai can pass was incredible. We drove to the top of the pass and overlooked the entire city and ocean. Completely amazing and I cannot wait to get my pictures uploaded when I reach wester society! Dr fu and John's final stop was at a silk shop, but only because they are contracted to do so. They were amazing and explained they would take us there but just pretended we are browsing. We were then left back at sunflower where I had stayed previously, the hotel with the pool! We tipped John and fu and thanked them for one of the best days travelling so far! Becky and I then checked in and headed up to our room. As soon as I opened the door I spotted Simon and stefano from Hanoi! We hugged and had a catch up and laughed about how funny it was we kept bumping Into eachother. Jacob and Joseph are also at sunflower so everyone seems to be doing the same southern route as Becky and I. We got a big group together and headed out for the night. First hitting the backpackers for buy one get one free, then why not bar where we met Eric. Eric is a guy from colarado. He's travelling solo so our gang befriended him and we all headed to volcano! Volcano was epic again and everyone had a great time! We landed home about 3 and conked out immediately.
