The blog has been so difficult to keep up with, and there is one reason for that, I have been having so much fun! I cannot describe the group of people I have met in my placement. They are completely awesome! Flo, Luca, dee and Debra (the fantastic four). Everyday In placement has been very samey. I absolutely love the kids and have the best craic with them, but I wish I could help them more. Little foo recognises me everyday as runs Into my arms. She breaks my heart! But il make sure the staff keep me up to date when I leave.
We decided that we would head out Friday night after our working week, so Luca, flo, dee and I headed to Hanoi backpackers which is a really lively place and reminds me of some tack from Magaluf, however it's good music and a good atmosphere so we seem to start our nights there! We had drinks and got chatting to the tour guides who are the two most gross guys on the planet. Dee thought they were being nice to her and I had to kindly reminded her that they were being paid to do that exact thing! We then headed to finneghans and Luca and I chatted away. At one point a girl asked If I could leave my seat as she has been sitting there previously, and Luca replied 'oh my god you are in finneghans girl get the hell out of town' hahaha. I'm glad she found the funny side as I was openly laughing at what he had said. I sort of wish I had kept a Luca funny quote journal however it would be too long. The other day a street seller was trying to sell me a hideous green scarf and a wallet and Luca said 'why are you offering her a mans wallet and a peice of seaweed? Can't you tell this girl has class?'. Now picture that in the gayest voice and it becomes comedy gold. Now back to finneghans. The police shut down pubs and clubs at 11 so we were all chucked out and headed to flow bar. We headed to hair of the dog which was a typical club, good craic but everyone was squished like sardines! I turned around and Aiden was there which was a nice surprise so we gathered the troups and headed to half man half noodle, the best bar ever. One of the little Vietnamese workers who must only be about 17 asked if I would write him a love letter because 'I'm the one he has been looking for' haha. I don't know if my face or aidens face was more priceless!
All the volunteers and my group from the hostel are good friends now, which is nice. Flo left and headed to a club called lighthouse, while we stayed and requested tunes. Aiden is good friends with the owners as he is living here so we managed to wrangle free drinks too. After a brilliant night dee, Luca and I hopped on mopeds home and the boys headed for the hostel with more plans to go out tomorrow!
