Today was a pretty chilled out day. We woke up fairly late after crawling Into bed around 5am. Annoying its raining for the second day in a row. We decided to buy ponchos and head out to do some cultural stuff. We consulted the map to see what we would like to do and fancied the Hanoi prison. We trekked there In the rain with some help from the locals and paid the entrance fee of 20,000 dong. I made a joke about how it was bulls*** I had to pay to get into prison in Vietnam when back home I go for free! Ha ha.
The prison was pretty ace, we learnt a lot about the vietnam war after me and becky discussing with eachother who it was actually between ha ha ha. Kyle would be disgusted. We saw the cells and the guillotine that executed people. Blood stains and everything! It was pretty gruesome but I was glad I learned more about Vietnam. Especially considering I have been here for over three weeks!
We headed back to the hostel and chilled with Aiden and Anita and Kate and jonny. Kate and jonny are an ace couple from England. Jonny is a 34 year old rocker and Kate is a 29 year old museum worker. I do not know how that worked out! They quit their jobs and are travelling for around ten months which is ace. Tonight we all had an early night and just chatted in our dorm room. I also got stuck into game of thrones!
