Today mel informed me that her pal ed was coming to Vietnam as he has been travelling for a while, so we showered and met up with him in the hostel. He seemed like a lovely guy and was telling me where to go on my travels. I think he fancies Melissa a bit if I'm honest but he's stuck in the friend zone. Raging. We headed to a little western coffee place called jomba where I had a green tea. Melissa was being sick for the first hour which was pretty unfortunate, but self induced haha! After some chatting and catching up with ed we headed to the 'Vietnam women's museum'. Thrilling. It was actually pretty cool. I wish I could remember more about it but the best part was Melissa and I dressing up in the turbans that were on show! We left the museum and had some food and headed back to our room.
When I entered the room the Dutch girls were there and a guy called Daniel from Australia and then a guy called Chris. Chris looked like chris Martin from Coldplay and had cool tattoos. We were all chatting about ha long bay and which tour is best to do. While we were chatting our pals hanky, master, jonny and Aiden Joined and we chatted about what to do. Apparently it was chris's last night in Vietnam so they were headed out for a drink, and they invited us along. We went down to the bar as happy hour serves free beer from 7.30-8.30. Our group was so cool, all the dudes were really funny. I chatted away to chris and we somehow got onto the topic of game of thrones. Everyone was rolling their eyes at how nerd like we sounded but I'm ok with that! I showed chris the picture of me on the iron throne and he thought it was awesome, and thought it was photoshopped! When happy hour ended we headed back to half man half noodle. I love this place! (Bar the occasional cockroach).
We were chatting all night and requesting songs. Chris and I got chatting about music and we discovered we had a Love for all the same bands. I said I loved Coldplay and oasis and he thought I was the bomb haha. He has his guitar signed by Noel gallagher which is amazing, and actually got me to sign my name! Nice touch. All the group were belting out tunes that we requested and even the owners were loving it because we let them join in too! It was starting to get late and I was conscious that Melissa had to be up at 7 for her ha long bay cruise so we called it a night. I was sad that I only met chris today as he seemed like a cool guy, but that's the nature of travelling!
