Hi All,

Right to the very end I lose track of time and forget to update this. So, here we are, one week to go.... Very sad, but very exciting at the same time as I'm definitely ready to take my next step now. NY has most definitely done it's job in building me up to take on some challenges :)
Christmas/NY was all great. Was a heavy, hectic, fun holiday. This city has plenty of energy at the best of times but it manages somehow to kick up a gear over the holiday season.
Tonight is our official leaving do. It's a three course dinner plus 4hour open bar (uh-oh). It even has its own awards ceremony... haha, it's gonna be a fun night if a bit emotional. I've been one of five girls who have put together the yearbook for our intern intake - a lot of time and effort but the end result is fab. Again was very emotional - reading everyone's comments and seeing all the pics from through the year. It's a very strange time to be honest, we all know it's at its end but at the same time we know it won't sink in until we are actually back in the UK without a return ticket to our city.
So today is our goodbye night, and having been waiting for snow since Dec 1st it chooses today to turn up. Not great for our little dresses.....
I'm not sure I'll get on again before I come back, but I'm hoping to write an entry after I'm back in NY from my travels. It's all booked - I'm going to Austin, TX followed by San Francisco and then Las Vegas. Then I'll have a week back in NYC before flying to the UK.
If I don't manage to write though, I'd like to thank you all for keeping track of me! And to all of you for your support during both the good and tough times in the year. I couldn't have completed this year without the base I have in all of you back home. A lot of you have realised that i now think of NY as home... which is true, but it's a home from home rather than a replacement. Besides, I'm not finished with New York just yet...
