Hi guys! Ooops, long time again...! Sorry, I'm a very busy bee ;) I suppose the big news, if you hadn't noticed, is that IT'S DECEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which means only one thing. (Presents). Christmas in NY will be amazing. I went to see the Rockefeller tree which is the biggest xmas tree i have ever seen! And there are lots of big decorations around the city which is stunning at night. I just spent the weekend in Chicago with five friends. Freezing cold but really good. We went up the Sears Tower (the tallest tower in n.america don't you know) on a really clear morning so we could see (apparently) 50miles each way. Lake Michigan by the way is huge! I was looking out the plane window on the way in and I was thinking, 'there's the sea!'... and then I drew upon my limited geographical knowledge and realised that there really shouldn't be a sea next to Chicago, and that what i was actually looking at was Lake Michigan. We also saw the mirror-egg thing (look at the photo) which is fantastic! I should really have paid more attention to the name of the sculpture. I do remember that it was donated by someone, but i also forget who that someone is. Anyway, I have lots of pictures of it, I've uploaded five but i will get round to putting the rest on soon. I have booked my flight to Austin, and should be booking San Francisco this week. We have five weeks left in NY before our visas run out :( I will be back in the UK on February 8th after my little travels and a last few days in NY. For MY BIRTHDAY I am joining (I know I don't usually share at this time of year but there's a first time for everything) up with my friend Jo (her bday is the 21st and she is a year younger!) and we are going to a bar called the Alphabet Lounge this Friday. There should be alot of people coming so it will probably turn into a fairly messy night. Hopfully we will remember some it at least as it may well be our only birthday in NY! MY BIRTHDAY we are spending in our apartment - we're cooking the big turkey dinner. We figure that by the time we get in from our night out on xmas eve it will be time to put on the turkey! Should be fun, certainly a very different Christmas to what I am used to though. Be very strange without the family but I'll give it a go..! I will take this opportunity to say thankyou lots to mum, dad, sis, joey, ele and a's for the special surprises I received in the post!! wohoo! I haven't opened any of them, except the christmas cards. They are piled up around the tiny tiny tree on the table (I am working on getting a bigger one..!). I'm very excited! Thank-you! Work is preparing to be very busy... of course it starts getting good when i leave! ha, never mind. I'm ready to move onwards and upwards now!anyways, I'm really gonna hope I make myself write another entry before i leave. I don't want this to be the last one :( feels so strange! Take care everyone, have a fantabulous Christmas/New Year and I know you'll all be thinking of me on MY BIRTHDAY ;) !! Lots of love and Christmas spirit from NY,Trexxxxxxxxxxxx
