Hey, I just did it AGAIN. Typed it then lost it. aaaaaaarrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh! So... WENT HOME FOR A WEEK! Left the buzz of the big apple for the sights and sounds of good old Reading..! And of course for a very important wedding - that of my pretty-much-second-big-sis Meena and her chosen one (!) Raj! I flew back without them knowing so it was all a surprise, but Meen said she had a feeling I was coming. Still, was good to see smiles when they saw me come in. The wedding was fab! Meen looked stunning (check the pics) and they had gorgeous weather for it. Was a really great weekend with the wedding on the sat and the reception on the sun. Also got to see Ele, A's and Joey which was great as always, we went for a nice Italian and had a little catch up. Also saw Koz who had plenty of news to fill me in on! And Marv! Who we hadn't seen in years, so that was nice. Caught up with all the family, and most importantly, ate a good deal of bacon sarnies. Bacon and bread out here just aren't the same! Also managed to squeeze in a homemade lasagne, roast dinner, and a nice bbq. If you hadn't guessed, I, and most of the others, miss a lot of the food! Had my MOT by seeing the doc, dentist and hairdresser... :) Came back to NY on the Wednesday, then the thursday morning all the security scares on flights hit the news, so luckily i missed all that extra checking at the airport. Mind you, I had to queue for two hours at JFK anyway. We have a long weekend coming up at the start of Sept... thinking about a log cabin in the Catskills. Not sure yet what we'll be doing, but we'll be going somewhere for sure. Then mum and mum 2 (meen and arv's mum) will be coming out on sept 10th for ten days.. and then sept 30th the girls get here! We have new interns arriving in Sept (remember when i went on about the new May's coming... well now it's the Septembers). Gareth in our apartment is a current September so he'll be heading home, which means new people to live with. Must go... sushi is calling NY Tre xxx
