Tre's New York Adventure!
Hi Guys,
Kayaking was fantastic!! We kayaked a 12mile stretch along the Delaware River. It was really good fun even though we could barely use our arms for a good 12hours after. There were still areas and light rapid areas, and the weather was gorgeous (after a rainy start). It was briilliant! We wanna go again, next time with a bigger group so we can get a white water raft. The company literally gives you the kayak and then you're on your own! So much fun, and no-one fell out. I did though get stuck in the last area of rapids and had to wait about 30mins to be saved hahahahah. I ended up getting help from some very nice boys who ended up getting their raft stuck right behind me. They picked up my kayak (with me in) and carried me out of the rocky area. Very nice. In some of the still areas the four of us held our kayaks together, put down our oars, and just floated along together looking at the amazing views. That was definitely a highlight of the year so far. I loved it. And although my shoulders are still stiff now (2days later) I would love to do it again.
Last Thurs after work we went out for Wendy's 40th bday which was good fun. The Wed me and Vic took Lindsay out for dinner for her bday which was fab, we had a nice Italian with some nice wine, and outstayed all the other customers and stayed after chatting with the waiters. Fri night we had a little party at the apartment for Lindsay. Sunday was a much-needed quiet day!
And there you are, all updated!
I hear you're experiencing a bit of a heatwave and breaking some records... had to be the year I'm away ;) Hope none of you are trying to tan too much and getting burned..?
Take care all,
stay in touch,
NY Tre
