Hey! Arv is here!! While he is here I am realising how much I've not been doing in my spare time and how much I really should be doing while I'm here! I had the day off on Tues which was great. Weather was gorgeous. We went up to Top of The Rock, which is the top of the Rockefeller Centre. It's amazing. I prefer it to the Empire State view, which is probably a minority view; but it may have something to do with the awesome view of the whole of Central Park you get from Top of the Rock. Was just stunning, could have stayed there for hours. I showed Arv the rich end of 5th Ave, where we both had a wee in Trump Tower! We went for dinner at a place called Dave&Busters in Times Sq, its a restaurant/bar/arcade+video game place! So much fun. We won 260 tokens, which i thought was loads! But it really wasn't, it was enough to buy us a sweet or a bouncy ball and that was about it. So we've saved it and will top it up next time we go so we can buy something better! We are off to a Comedy Club tonight in the Upper West Side, there's eight of us going so should be a fun night. I am hoping I'm not the target for their jokes though..!! Work has been busier lately which is good. Unit One on the certificate side is finished! My unofficial final grade for it is an A-, it'll be confirmed next week I think. Unit Two starts next week, this is one with a big Cambridge Assignment at the end of it so I'll need to be paying attention in class! The new interns get here on Mon which is very wierd, it means we are no longer the new ones. It also means we're already a third through the year. Too fast!!!!!!! The TriBeCa Film Festival is on at the mo so fingers crossed will catch some of it. There are some shorts and documentaries which sound really good that I'd like to see. Screening times are a bit awkward though, but we'll see! (as mum would say!) Arv wants a portrait done by one the Central Park artists, and I want to get a caricature (how the blast do you spell that? the cartoon portrait!). Weekend ideas include Bronx Zoo, Coney Island, couple museums, and of course some night life! Must dash! NY is calling ;) Take care, miss you Tre xxxxx
