Tre's New York Adventure!
Hello!
I have half-an-hour left at work so I thought I'd do something constructive and write a new entry! Finally got round to putting some pics on here, hope you all get chance to check the first glimpse of my NY life! Had a really good weekend. Went to a bar in Manhattan on Fri night, it was so steretypically American, like walking into Dawson's Creek or something! Was good though, nice crowd, good music and cheap drinks! Found a nice diner on sat morning too with my flat mates and had a rather scrummy pancakes, sausage, eggs breakfast. This was also ridiculously-American, the diner was like a silver tin trailer, and not hugely clean inside, but it was great! It's walking distance from the apartment too which could be dangerous! Ele gave me a great pressie for my birthday-a box of cards, each with a different walk in NY to do...so i did my first walk with my friend Vicky on Sunday! We're planning to do one every week!
Work is quite slow, it's the only bit of this experience so far that isn't so great. I'm going to talk to someone about it tonight after work. But other than that things are good! Love the apartment stil (the wonder of an American apartment hasn't worn off yet!). My seminars have all been scheduled now too so everything is in place to get on with it! I may be going to Philadelphia this weekend, and am looking into Chicago (or somewhere nearer, maybe Boston) in a couple weeks time too.
Hope you are all ok! I love hearing from all of you always so keep in touch!
Take care,
Will write again soon,
Tre
