Title: Thursday, Good Bye to Horta

I enjoyed a nice breakfast outside overlooking the harbor. This place is so beautiful, friendly, and affordable, I know I will bring Kim back here some day.

The taxi ride to the airport was easy enough but getting out of the Azores proved to be difficult. My original flight to San Miguel was cancelled because a plane crashed on the runway, so they booked me to another island with a quick stop at Terciera.

When we got to Terciera, there was another problem that kept us from continuing. So they booked me on a direct flight from Terciera to Boston. (Why didn't they do that to begin with?)

Anyway, the flight to Boston only took about 5 hours and was not bad at all. I got to Logan, located my duffel and caught a courtesy bus to the Thrifty car rental.

I rented a Ford Focus with GPS and headed for Mendon. Arrived at my brother's place about 9:30pm. It's always nice to come home to this place!

This is the last entry for my cross Atlantic sailing adventure. I will be spending some time here and looking for a local sailing position somewhere along the East coast.
