Title: Sunday, Day 4 at sea
I was sleeping soundly after my 2300 to 0200 watch when Barry woke me and said we needed to reef the main. (I guess I'm the only one who can?). Anyway, I started to get dressed and Barry said they didn't need to reef after all. So I got undressed and no sooner got back in bed then Barry was saying they needed a reef after all.
So I got dressed again, went up to the mast and let go the main halyard while pulling the mainsail down to the second reef. It was raining lightly but I could see we were heading into a rain squall. I secured all the lines and went back to the cockpit. Having rendered my services, I went back below to resume my sleep. We can only get about 5 hours of sleep, so any interruption really messes with you. I had to get up at 0430 for my next watch. I had to struggle to keep my eyes open. One good thing is that after every watch, we can take a nap during our 6 hour off time.
The rest of the day was spent trying to dodge rain squalls. We got caught in a couple but they quickly passed.
