Title: Monday, Day 2 Ashore in Horta
I found out where the post office was and boxed up the stuff I didn't need and sent it home. Lesson learned. In the future, pack so this is not necessary. It cost about 60 Euros or about $80 to do this.
On the way back, I found a place to get laundry done which would be undoubtedly cheaper than what the hotel will charge.
I found a WI FI cafe which has good food, coffee and beer. Only about a ten minute walk from the hotel. Looks like this will be my headquarters for looking for my next boat.
I was feeling pretty tired after lunch and went back to the hotel for a nap. After that, I went back to Pete's for dinner and networking. I ran into Mirko and he was doing the same thing. I noticed that Barry had a "Crew Wanted" poster on the bar.
Met an Oceanmaster named Jim off one of the larger yachts. Nice guy but he says it's not a good time of year to be going to England. Evidently, everyone is going the other way on their way to the Med
