Title: Saturday, day 10 at sea.
Nice day again today but the wind died during the late afternoon and we had to resort to the engine once again.
I learned that the tri-color navigation lights stopped working last night. Barry thinks it's a bad connection inside the mast.
I'm beginning to think that me and Barry and this boat that is falling apart around us, may part company in the Azores.
I asked him tonight how much my share of the food was. He said he didn't know. I said, "Well, you have all the receipts so you can figure it out, right?
He said "Oh, yes."
He still owes me for the following:
1. Motor cover: $40.88
2. EPIRB: $446.95
3. Blades
4. Soap Dish
$487.83
Let's call it $490.00.
I owe him 1/3 of whatever he paid for groceries. But he's been using my EPIRB (and the motor cover) since we left Coral Bay, so I'm just going to charge him rent on the EPIRB until he pays me for it. The rent will be equal to the amount I owe him for groceries. That way, when we hit the dock in Horta, I can hop off with my bags and the EPIRB and we're even. If he wants it back, he just needs to pay me the $490 minus what I owe him for groceries. I suspect he's only paid about $500 for groceries, or less.
