Last night, I felt a deep sense of injustice run through my veins when I realised that for years now, I've been paying around $6.00 for 6 pieces of sushi at the local sushi place in Garden City. This wouldn't seem nearly such a travesty, because it's nice sushi and I LOVE sushi, except that last night…I discovered Sushi Town! Yummest 8 pieces of sushi in my life, and only $2.95!!! Sushi lovers of the world - come to Vancouver!!
It was Jessie's birthday yesterday, and we'd spent the night before putting together a book for her that Helle had chosen down town (it was beautiful, said "Go Slow. Life in Progress" on the front). It was so lovely but kinda sad too because upon reflection of all the good times we've had, it's difficult to avoid the reality that it's only a little over a month until some of the girls are leaving now =( So tears were shed, photos were laughed over, quotes were written, and when we gave it to her yesterday she absolutely loved it!
We'd all been holed up in our rooms or lecture halls all day studying double dissociations or owls (lucky Jessie! Gotta love those owls! =P) so we decided to take Jessie down to Sushi Town that night to celebrate. Helle, Jessie, and I looked like three Eskimos in our big down jackets with the fur around the hood, but it's getting pretty cold these days so they definitely came in handy! We feasted on fabulous, CHEAP sushi, and listened to awesome old school tunes…and next weekend we get to do it all again for Monica's birthday!! =)
