Yesterday was Thanksgiving here in Canada so campus was pretty quiet and deserted - quite conduicive to studying for midterms really. It was perfect study weather too cause the whole mountain was encased in fog so there really wasn't much incentive to go outside because you couldn't see much beyond 15m in front of you! This will have to be a super quick update, cause I need to go be smart and productive…
But I just wanted to tell you all about my lovely little Thanksgiving dinner! Now, apparently it's a pretty important holiday over here, so when I got back on Sunday night from Whis and went to the dining hall for some food (which was also completely deserted) the ladies who work there gave me pitying smiles, because clearly I am a poor familyless child with no place to go for the holidays! Haha But yesterday, Helle, Jessie and I decided we were really too exhausted/poor/cold/wet etc. to go out for a big meal so instead we stayed in for a movie night.
It was SO much fun! We went past the dining hall and had dinner then headed over to Jessie's little dorm room and got all rugged up in our warm socks and jumpers and huddled around her laptop to watch The Holiday. I absolutely LOVE this movie, and there was much hysterical laughter (+ a few tears) throughout. We all squished onto Jessie's bed with our version of a Thanksgiving feast ie. Pretzels, licorice, skittles, & chocolate biscuits! Good times…
So that was my Thanksgiving - no turkey or pumpkin pie, but I dare say it was the best Thanksgiving I've ever had! (Not withstanding the fact that I've never actually had a Thanksgiving before…haha) Now it's heads down, cram time!
