Ma Oh well, actually yes, I DID read your 'who's who and what's what in Van' blog, though I guess I didn't recall all of the detail - and there are sooo many details about social events =) As you know from our weekend in Whistler, there is no way JL or I would be able to keep up - I am so in awe of your stamina! Liv Someone didn't read my who's who and what's what in Vancouver blog did they mother? haha jks - I actually can't even remember if I did explain the Shadow...anyway! The Shadow Mountain is a pub at the bottom of Burnaby Mountain (ie. in the shadow on the mountain) that goes off every Wednesday and gets packed out with SFU students - muchos fun =D muchos =D faces hehe but this week I'm going to hold back at the Shadow cause we have our clan pub night on Thursday night at the SFU pub night and a keg party on Friday night! =O SO much fun in just one week!! What's a girl to do!? xo

Liv Hmm...no I don't recall seeing those things, but maybe they just weren't obvious to us cause it's the middle of summer right now! I did think it was pretty clever how all the bins around these towns in the mountain have heavy bins and a handle you have to push in to get them to open so the bears don't come down from the mountains to go rummaging through the garbage. I expect they work pretty well too cause it took me a while to figure out how to use them and I'm part of the "intelligent race" haha Another cool thing we saw was the little tunnels that go over certain sections of the road where there's a high risk of avalanches!
