Well we've made it to New Zealand and come back down to earth after our trip to Fiji. It was definately difficult getting back into travelling mode after being so relaxed! We arrived into Auckland and it wasn't too much of a shock to the system as its the summer here and although not as warm as Fiji it was still around 25 degrees. We have spent the last four days here and will leave tomorrow. We have been busy while we have been here, catching up on washing and emails etc. But we've still had time for some sightseeing and its amazing what things you see when you are just walking round the city. We spent most of our time around the harbour area which was very pretty and offered great views of the city. We have walked most places as we were told that it was the best way to see the city but still had time for a ride on one of the free sightseeing buses which run through the city.

After much discussion we have decided to hire a car to see the rest of the country. We have invested in a tent and will take to the road tomorrow for a month. We have a rough idea of a route but think that we will just go with the flow and hopefully visit some nice places. I'm sure that it will be a good adventure but we will keep you posted!.....
